Lives in East London
I was dead, lonely, no one wanted me. No family, no happiness. My neighbours knew I had nothing. Now I am a tree, evergreen in winter and summer. I have lots of friends (customers). I am always happy.
My family did not respect or help me, but now I help them. I have groceries. My neighbours see I have groceries. I do not have to bother them for food anymore. Before I was only mourning the death of my son, now they can see I am happy. I will never depend financially on a man. Woman will rule the world one day!
TCB is a place where I share my secrets for the first time since I was born, I did not trust people before. At TCB I learnt to forget negative and concentrate on positive. That everything comes with patience and hard work, to be myself and not fake. I can achieve whatever I put my mind to – no excuses. You are never too old to follow your dreams. I have dreams and will stick to my goals. My life now is exciting, challenging and I have lots of opportunities.
I’m so lucky to find this place. I will pass on to my community and grandchildren. My role is to leave TCB a better place than I found it. I want to give back to TCB. TCB is a gift from God.
