Busisiwe (Busi) Msholoqa
Mother of three: 14, 6 & 2
Lives in Khayelitsha, Cape Town
I’m so proud of myself because at the beginning I didn’t know that I could be here, that I could be a successful businesswoman.
My life was very bad. I stayed with nine people all depending on my husband who made very little money. The food was not enough, I couldn’t afford school fees. The situation was very bad. If you saw me you could see this woman was very poor. I felt useless. I was not educated, I knew nothing even about business, so I didn’t know that I could make it. I didn’t know where to start.
At TCB I learned a lot about business. At first I was scared, I didn’t have the confidence to know I can make it. The budgeting skills really helped me. How to keep money, to cut expenses and buy stock. I now know where to use my money. I am saving for the future, for my children.
Now I am a businesswoman. I am in control of my money, I am in control of my life. I’m very proud of myself. I am beautiful. I know that I can put food on the table, I know I can do it and I will do it.
